Strategic campaign on how HOFOR creates sustainable cities, but can't create new water —so help save it.

THE Challenge?

Water is precious, but most people don’t act like it, especially when the infrastructure does its job too well. HOFOR, Copenhagen’s water supplier, wanted to shift that mindset. The challenge was to inspire behavioral change while strengthening their public reputation; not through guilt or pressure, but by creating connection and pride.

THE Goal?

Design a campaign that shows water not as a faceless resource, but as something we all co-own. This meant making HOFOR’s behind-the-scenes sustainability work visible, engaging, and empowering, positioning them as a climate-forward partner, not just a provider.

MY Solution=

Through bold and resonant visuals, I built a campaign that turned that took HOFOR's current strategy and made it visible, while linking it to the issue of water scarcity. Every piece of communication, from posters to social touchpoints, focused on the creation; the creation of cities, pipes, sewers, infrastructure. But also that creation is limited, as that new water cannot easily be created from thin air. The result was a campaign that invited action and realigned public perception of HOFOR as a future-oriented, responsible force in the city.
